I've been thinking what should I write about for a long time. Finally, I've decided to look back to the warm summertime when I my life was carefree and pleasant. Well, it doesn't mean that now it's not, but anyway it's nice to remember such times in the middle of the cold and grey November.
For me summer is the time when I meet friends and spend much time with them. I'm writing not about some precise summer, because I've been meeting my friends in summer for about 8 years or so. I'm writing about summer in general, about summer as a lifestyle.
I and my friends used to live in the countryside for a week or two and relax. We would spend long warm days doing nothing, playing lots of games, such as Monopoly, Munchkin, Risk, etc. You know, we even made our our game by combinig two different games and adding some extra rules. We had a plenty of time, so we could invent whatever we wanted. We also love cycling, walking or just having fun.
For me these days associate with freedom and the joy of spending time with friends. As I've already mentioned this traditions have been exsiting for quite a long time and I hope it will never end. I hope you understand conutryside and summer are not necessary conditions (as we say it in maths) for meeting friends. I also spend time with friends in other places.
And even now, in this cold Novemver when there's a plenty of homework to do I meet my friends everywhere: at university, in a cafe, at party or whereever else.

In spite that, as you mentioned, countryside and summer are not necessary conditions for meeting friends, when we spend our time together in nature it really differ from our meetings in other places. Like you I will never forget times when my friends visited my dacha. Unfortunately we have not came together for a long time.

ОтветитьУдалитьOf course, I agree with you that it's not only a summer, when you can meet your friends, but in summer there are much more opportunities^ especially for us, busy, hard-working NES students:)
