"Is there anybody out there?" is a name of the song of Pink Floyd from "The Wall". I know that this song has nothing in common with the phylosopihic topic I'm gonna write about, but still this song was the first thing that crossed my mind when I started thinking about solispism.
You know, sometimes I wonder if I'm the only person surely to exist. Perhaps I'm the only mind in the world, and everything around me is just an illusion. Maybe I'm just sleeping, and the reality is just a deram. And maybe our universe is just a small bubble in a glass of soda of some creature. Uff, maybe I've gone too far. The thing is that we can't be sure about everything surrounding us. We are likely to think that we live in the universe. This universe is infinite (or not), and it's expanding. There're some stars in this universe, which appeared afther the Big Bang. Then appeared life, some organizma, and, finally, people, and I am one of them. Each of us is a person with his mind, and each of us can feel something, do something, etc.
Yeah, this might be true. But we there is no way to prove it. I mean you can't prove that another person exists and that another person has his iwn thoughts and inner world. Perhaps everything is illusion, and I'm the only thinking person in the universe. Or maybe there is some real world, but the world surrounding us – the world its physics laws, rules of logic, life and civilization – is not real. There is some other world, and all of us exist in that world, but we think we exist in our world. You can see the film Matrix. It conveys all these ideas much better than I am. Watch it!
Of course, if you and this film really exist :)
